GSCN: Bridging Global Standards for Solar Thermal Certification
The Global Solar Certification Network (GSCN) brings together certification bodies, inspectors, test labs and solar thermal industry representatives with the objective to strengthen the solar thermal market on a global scale. Specifically, it facilitates worldwide cross-border trading of high-quality solar thermal collectors through mutual recognition of certification schemes.
Solar Heat Europe is the Secretariat of the GSCN.
The SOLERGY collector label
In 2021, the GSCN in collaboration with the Solar Heating Initiative released the SOLERGY collector label. It facilitates selling solar thermal products outside of the European market and contains information about the solar collector in question. Solar collectors are rated according to how much solar heat is generated per collector area according to different temperature levels and climate zones.
Solar heat is a flexible technology suitable for a wide range of applications across different climate zones.
