The University of Évora (Universidade de Évora) is a public university in Évora, Portugal. Located in the heart of the region in Portugal with the highest direct normal irradiation (DNI) (and one of the highest in Europe) the University of Évora is investing in the development of activities in the field of Renewable Energies with a special focus on Solar Energy.
UEvora’s Renewable Energies Chair (UEvora-CER), established in 2010, stands for the University’s Research Group in this field. UEvora-CER develops applied research on solar radiation conversion technologies and applications to the Energy Transition: PV or CSP power generation; thermal (TES) or electrical energy storage; solar energy for energy supply to Industry and Agriculture; solar resource and Energy system integration strategies.
