The last edition of the International Sustainable Energy Conference (ISEC) in 2022 welcomed approximately 400 participants from 30 countries to engaging presentations and intensive discussions on transforming the energy system.
This year’s ISEC will focus on achieving energy sovereignty within the time frame dictated by climate change and shaped by politics. Global solutions such as the transformation of our economic system towards a sustainable circular economy, the complete phase-out of fossil fuels, the implementation of sector coupling and energy storage systems as well as the smart electrification of the energy supply will be the focus of the presentations and discussions.
Through ISEC 2024’s cooperation with the international organisations UNIDO, IEA SHC, IEA ES TCP, Solar Heat Europe, RHC ETIP, GEN-SEC, ALLICE and REN21, all topics will have an additional focus on developing and emerging countries.
The conference program, featuring speakers from industry, science, and politics, as well as lectures and poster presentations by researchers from all continents, has been recently launched.
Solar Heat Europe is pleased to support the conference, with several members and Secretariat representatives in attendance to represent the solar thermal sector. Solar thermal will be addressed in various sessions on the official agenda and discussed alongside other technologies during poster presentations of EU projects in which SHE is a partner.
Early bird registration is available until February 12, 2024.
