Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan Conference in Barcelona, Spain

The European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan) is a key stepping-stone to boost the transition towards a climate-neutral energy system through the development of low-carbon technologies in a fast and cost-competitive way.

This year, the SET Plan Conference is taking place in Viladecans (Barcelona, Spain), on 13-14 November, under the main theme ‘Energy Research and Innovation for a Competitive Europe’. The Conference will be organised under the patronage of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in cooperation with the European Commission.

The programme of the event includes numerous sessions on important energy topics – high-level and thematic ones. In addition, the event will present a number of networking opportunities, will have an interesting exhibition area, and will give all participants the opportunity to share their opinions during three interactive sessions. Solar Heat Europe’s Managing Director, Valerie Sejourne, will be a featured speaker on November 14th.

The Conference is taking place during an important moment for the SET Plan initiative when it has been revised and revived, which will be reflected in the programme of the event as well.
