Near zero energy nursing home in Finland
The nursing home, built in 2013, is a so called near zero energy building. Onnelanpolku is well insulated and its energy consumption is partially provided by local sources. The hybrid heating system for space heating and hot water was realized with a combination of solar thermal collectors and district heating. Electricity consumption is also minimized by the use of energy-efficient ventilation equipment and pumps.
Collectors area: 240 m2
Type of collectors: Savo 200
Other energy sources: district heating, photovoltaic panels
Storage: 3×3 000 L water tanks
